God, the LFX is even easier than the L99/LS3. It was honestly a 20 minute job, including the 5 minute warm-up. The v8 is a far reach for the oil filter, the LFX it's right on top of the engine.

Pop the drain plug, change the oil filter while it's draining below the car, put it all back together, fill and be done.

When I had my LFX, I would change it pretty frequently. Probably every 2 months ~4000 miles. As long as it was a nice day out, and it was close to needing to be changed, I would just change it.

I don't drive but maybe 1500 miles per year. According to my OLM, I could probably go 3+ years before a change. However, I am not comfortable leaving oil in it that I make sure to do an annual oil change, even if it really isn't needed.
