ya know, I had a 4th generation that was like my best friend! She wasn't anything fancy, just a base model.. We drove between Atlanta, Chicago, Michigan for years and years! I forget how many miles I put on her, but it was over 100K.. Driving home one night, I knew she wasn't 'feeling well,' she stuttered and stalled a few times, but struggled along until she got me to my driveway. That's when she died. I'll NEVER forget that, I swear it was like she wanted to get me home. She needed a new engine, and I didn't have the bucks at the time, so I just traded her in.
Now my new LS is JUST like that old friend I had before. I'll drive her for years and years, hopefully keep her, just get an old used pick-up to use as a daily driver. Y'all know what the word "Camaro" means right? It means "friend"...

I don't know. I go through cars pretty quickly. But this car is legit. I'd guess around 10-15 years.

I'll keep mine 4-5 years. It's a DD and by then it will have about 100,000 miles, and virtually worthless. If it's still running real good, maybe keep it a couple more years after that. My car before this I bought new and ran it to 175k miles.

I order mine tomorrow and plan on keeping it until the Z/28 arrives, providing I can get it for $55K or under (pre-tax).

I agree with this. I知 going to use this as a daily driver for the next 5 years and get something else. By that time the Camaro will have around 125,00 miles on it. I値l definitely keep it as a weekend/nice weather car at that point.

At that point I値l be able to touch up all the minor body issues that come along with being a daily drive in the northeast for 6 years. Minor scratches, dings and dents that I値l probably start to overlook over the years.

I値l keep it at least for another 5 years and possibly longer. But it痴 hard to tell. In 15 years this car could be quite outdated. I always think back to my 1995 Z-28I clearly do not regret trading it in 5 years ago. In my opinion the car has a very dated look and not much appeal to me as even a weekend car at this point. Same could happen with the 2010 model in 15 years. It could lose its appeal. Hard to say.

I'm waiting to see what comes out in a couple years.

My little sister is about to start driving, and since my dad is a GM dealer it is already decided she will get a Camaro. However, my parents are wanting to buy my current 2LT/RS from me for her, and give me the chance to upgrade.

If that happens, I'll go all out on a Z-28 or a fully loaded SS.

80 Skylark - Recently sold.

90 SSE Bonneville - I May Sell

96 SE Bonneville - Keeper

10 Camaro - Keeper.

So I average 20 -25 yrs per car.
