Just not liking it. Also foreseeing more issues with the 10 speed and the already troubling LT4 engine. Non stop shifting and the extra fuel consumption on top of that. The price will be another thing...like so many have posted. The $$$ amount will definitely sway a lot more of the 5 gen ZL1 owners to spend the cash on mods and surpass the 640 hp threshold of the new gen 6.

Hp a lone won't fix the interior. That is my least favorite thing about my ZL1

Awesome car, all across the line price increases on gen 6. I think this one will be expensive. Definitely believe a lot of regular people will be priced out. Folks already going 7,8 years on car notes.

I'll take it with 120 months what's my payment? Jokingly

I like the looks, and power, but the price is definitely the determining factor.

I should have said tempted to sell mine and buy a new one. I have all of my stock parts and would probably restore it if I cant sell it outright and have to wind up trading. So there would be a lot of ZL1 goodies on the classified forum.

I have to agree.. They said the same thing about the Z06. If you could afford the old, you can afford the new. My 07 Z06 I paid 64k for it. The 15 Z06 I paid 78k for it. I think the new ZL1 will be over 65k or very close to 70k.

Would you like us to roll that car note in to your mortgage payment?

I will be putting a deposit on one. If it's more then 75k with the 10spd auto I might have to bow out. Love the car though!

The performance and interior blow the 5th gen away, but I just don't like the exterior of the 6th gen nearly as wel. It's not bad, but the 5th gen looks more badass while the 6th looks more exotic or foreign.

That plus I'm assuming the price will be north of $65K. Not likely I'll be buying one. Would rather have a used Z06 in a couple years.

I do not like the 6th gen style, By the time that is for sale Ford and Dodge will have an all new body, I think $75,000 will be on the low side, and that is to much for a DD which it would be. 10spd trans sounds a little over the top, I can just imagine how many times it will be shifting in traffic? all for Cafe' laws.

I cant get past the looks but I understand the looks. Less drag, more cooling, smaller dimensions, better chassis, all equal better performance. Throw in the LT4 and all the gadgets and whistles .....new ZL1!!

I'm not thrilled with the looks of the Gen 6 but when you see one on the Road in motion they look ALOT better.

Track numbers will seal the deal for me.

So it's safe to say this car won't be for you? Did I get it?
