Our stance has always been that while it's not a bad idea to time the bushings when done properly and safely, it's not something we have ever felt the need to do on any of our own cars. For a complete installation it may be a good idea to have the alignment folks time the bushings, but don't expect the car to be radically different after the procedure.

Thanks, I'm a newb and have no idea what this suspension stuff is haha. The terms are mostly foreign to me. But thanks for the input. How much do you think a good price for alignment and timing would be after I install the springs?

Here is a copy of our alignment guide! It's a really useful reference for different uses and car setups. For most folks driving on the street we suggest starting with the Performance Street alignment setting, this will give you a good combination of tire wear and increased performance over the factory alignment spec. Click the file for a full printable size!

About 3-4 hours for the install, about an hour to time the bushings if you want to have that done, and another hour or so for an alignment. Every area is going to have it's own labor rates so it's tough to estimate exactly what the costs will be... but figure an hour and a half to two hours for timing the bushings and alignment.

Could you PM me a price for these shipped to 76052? Also I'm curious about the spring rates on these. I'm also looking at the BMR springs for $250, but a friend of mine just put Pfadt springs and sway bars on his SS and I really like the look. BMR posts the rates of their springs but I haven't been able to find the rates for the Pfadt ones.

Pfadt springs rock! Just put them on my ss. I was worried the ride would be to harsh but its really good. It is firmer than stock but not a back breaker. I would recomend them to anybody.

Are the spring rates on these equivalent to the SS springs or softer?

Well because we use a progressive spring package with our drop springs it's tough to assign one specific rate. At peak spring rate you're looking at about 225 ft-lb/in for the front and 460 ft-lb/in for the rears. This isn't a big jump in rate because we want to keep the factory shocks happy and the ride quality high while still using the factory shocks.

Our drop spring packages are a slight increase in spring rate. The car can best be described as riding a little firmer, but more like a sports car really should. Most users are actually very pleasantly surprised after a Pfadt Drop Spring install that the ride quality is actually very nice.
