Everything looks ok from my point of view. You will have a gap between the top retaining plate and the strut tower. It allows the strut to move when turning the wheels.

It was good to talk to you on the phone today, I'm sorry if there was a delay in the response.
As has been stated, the gap is not abnormal, the function of that upper plate is to prevent the strut from coming out of the car when it's lifted, having a gap is not a problem, Thanks for posting Jaysin |
