Deal was at MSRP. At the time, seemed pretty fair compared to what was going on elsewhere. Actually, if I hadn't come across Basil on an out of the blue post by another gentleman here, Mac1, I'd still be happy at Paddock. They really didn't do anything wrong; just won't honor the discounts. Their loss. It'll be interesting to see if they refund my deposit or not. I did sign the same thing you did I assume- "non-refundable". We'll see how reputable they are at this point when they have no exposure from me canceling the order. I could understand a month from now when the order is already in the production system (hopefully) that they could get "stuck" with the car. But now? Not much I can do if they don't refund it other than spread the word. And boy do I have a lot of friends to spread it to...

Unless you're eligible for GMS (employee), my guess is the $500 over invoice is going to be pretty damn close to supplier, maybe even a bit better. Neither of us are going to beat that deal ANYWHERE right now.

P.S. you wouldn't be giving up too much of a spot in line considering as of when I left today you'd be the second V6 order at Basil.

1,179 miles, and 18 hours if I was to do it.... I can't put 1,179 miles on the first day of having the car lol.... no way could I do that.

It would really be nice to be inside of allocation and save a couple grand but.. wow.

I'd do it. That road trip would be a lifelong memory that I would love to have with my Camaro.

I'll be putting on just more than that in miles.

No, you can't do 1,179 miles in one day...so, you'll have to make it 2 DAYS! Two full days of people STARING at you as you drive it all the way home!

PS, i've done 15hr drive straight (and its rough).. so yeah 18hrs would be 2 days unless I took a 2nd person with me.

->thread hijack<-

Hadn't planned on it but if C5 members plan on doing something I could be convinced to bring my two boys down for a walkthrough...

->end hijack<-

Wait... can I actually hijack my own thread?

I'd have to pay New York and local sales taxes then a possible Virginia registration tax when I register it here. What's the new car tax rate in Buffalo?
