Sub/amp install???
Anybody have any links to installs for sub/amp in these camaros? or better yet a video install?
I've got a 10" sub, and an amp that i've brought with me through the past two trucks and would really like to get installed into my camaro but im not very 'wire savy' so to speak. it was a lot easier to follow installs and get it sorted out on my pickups but i have no clue how to go about it with this new camaro local shops want to charge me around 200$ to install, and at that rate i'd rather just sell it. |

I've got a wiring kit, amp, and a mounting board made specifically for the 5th gen for sale. I sold my car a while back and took it out before it left.
PM me if you're interested and I can give you more details.

If the deck does not have RCA outputs, you ill need a line out converter. This will tap into say the rear speakers to give you RCA lines to run to the amp.

You can use that if you don't want to splice into the wires at the rear speakers. If you don't mind splicing into them just get the signal from the rears.

A little more work but this one will work better if you're going to run separate amps (or 5 channel) and upgrade the inside speakers.

I think im just going to wire into the rear speakers and then hook power into the fuse box in the truck. seems to be the simplest way.

I used an add-a-circuit to tap into a fuse at the fuse panel on the driver's side. I think it was fuse #18

i installed everything myself, if you need help let me know i can kinda help guide you lol! . for my first time, i used Sub-Thump box and Sub-Thump wire plug in kit. the plug kit made it so no splicing needed.

You must connect the amp's power lead directly to the battery. The factory fuse block does not carry enough current to run an aftermarket amp.
