What will be interesting is how they fit a supercharger under the hood of the smaller engine compartment. The 6 Gen seems to be narrower etc.

How so exactly? The Gen6 was discovered to be as advertised - nothing but a Cadillac ATS with a different "body" shell. The 640HP LT4 sits very comfortably in the engine bay, albeit tight. The only thing not really known about the coming ZL1 are some specific details like weight, price and minutia items like what font was used on the lettering or stitching coloring.

I'll guess at a $63k base price.

The closer I looked at this "ZL1", it appears to me, that it has a flow tie.

Could be wrong though

Isn't the new Camaro on a slightly longer/wider alpha chassis than the ATS? (That was my understanding anyways)

The CTS-V is on a modified alpha chassis borrowed from the ATS-V. From C&D below;

The new Camaro is built on GM’s Alpha component set, first seen in the Cadillac ATS and CTS. Alpha is light, stiff, and modern. Even so, GM changed some 70 percent of the parts for the Camaro. Key among them are the suspension pieces, which engineers made longer in order to increase the track by between 1.1 and 2.0 inches versus the CTS. To keep weight down, they specified aluminum front-suspension members and steel links with extensive lightening holes in the rear. On the V-6 models, the front-anti-roll-bar drop links are even molded from high-strength plastic. Overall, the suspension weighs about 26 pounds less than the fifth-gen car’s.
