Asked my dealership last year about painting my bow ties. They wouldn't even provide me a quote - refused to do it saying that since they were plastic, the paint wouldn't stick for long, even if the finish was scuffed up a bit before painting - so I went the vinyl route (cheap and I can change colors anytime I want to).. works for me, almost a year and no peel, damage - still look great.

I left the chrome as is, to give a little contrast against the blackout.

Your car looks great man! I'm actually not 100% sure if I'd do the whole thing. I am leaning heavily towards it though, and I just want to know the possibilities.

I did the black overlays, even though when you look closely you can still see some gold . I'm thinking of deleting them.

There is a guy in the forum who custom paints bowties and sells them. They look good to what I've seen. Not sure of the member's name....

I had my dealership paint mine. Cost less than $50, if I remember correctly (it was a while ago).
