Adjusting clutch pedal free-play

I have a V6 M6, and the clutch pedal has almost 0 free play at all. It's making shifting very awkward when trying to shift for speed, as my foot has to come completely off the pedal for the clutch to fully engage. I'm used to a more "mid" clutch engage point, not one extremely "high."

Is adjusting clutch free play something that can be done relatively simply, or is it a job best done by a professional? What does it entail?

Get used to it have way it now. People get used to mid way or low engaugements from driving ragged out stock crap. I can't tell you how many times I have properly adjusted cable clutches like in the older mustangs and had people freak out and say they liked it better the old way.

My engagement point is about mid clutch. How long have you had the car?

this isn't my first performance car, and I've driven properly adjusted clutches that didnt feel like you had to lift your whole leg off your seat to fully engage clutch (which is a slight exaggeration, but i honestly feel that way sometimes with this clutch right now).

bought it in November 2011, so two months now. Even mid-high would be more acceptable. Correct me if I'm wrong but clutch pedals are normally designed/set to be with about 10mm free play? Would gladly take a little less than that, but it is seriously 0mm right now.
