Help from someone in texas

Hey there,

I'm looking at getting a custom plate (finally) and thought it would be awesome if I could get the same thing, but on a proper US plate (living in NZ); being as the car is originally from Texas a Texas plate would be perfect!

Only hitch is that the myplates.com site only sends it inter-state (County Tax Assessor-Collector office) - so I was wondering if there was a kind soul that could collect it for me and forward it on, I'd reimburse you for shipping of course

(I can buy the plate as a 'gift' and have it sent to the correct office for pickup, so no cost there)

Apologies if this is the wrong forum!

edit: looks like there's a regional forum - a mod can delete/move this as I'll replicate it there

well there is a problem with that......once it gets to the county courthouse, where you pick them up, you have to register them to the car at that point......and you would have to supply the insurance card showing that you have insurance on it at that time. SO, unless you know where exactly, or at least in which county, you will be living.....and have a valid insurance card with that cars VIN on it.....you are out of luck.
