I bought a "Schumacher Electric" brand at Auto Zone. $26.99. Works great but if I open my door with it attached I'll get a amber flashing light which means charge aborted. Not sure why. If I unplug it and plug it back in I'm good. I have mine in the trunk hooked straight up to the battery.

Thank you guys for the information. I was trying to figure out how to use my trickle charger in the trunk when I read this thread. I hooked up the charger under the hood using the positive terminal and I used the stud up near the front on the drivers side for the negative connection. My unit said to not hook to both the pos and neg, but only the pos and ground the negative to the body of the car.

Hands down the best charger I have owned. I had others that killed the battery by overcharging. CTEK is the same charger that comes with the Harley Davidson, Lamborghini, Porsche, BMW, etc. stamped on them to claim as their own.
