What kind of impact does a cam make on MPG?

For me about the same as stock - maybe even a touch better on long highway trips. Its only worse than stock when I'm in heavy city driving with a lot of idle time or if I'm having too much fun!

I lost only 1 mpg, and I think that is because of my stall/torque converter. Not the cam. Anyways, that is about what I had stock. After my headers and tune, I went up to 17, now back around 15-16mpg and I have a HEAVY foot.

I just got mine back Friday afternoon from headers, cam and tune. It's too soon to say about MPG since it poured rain this weekend so I didn't get to drive it a lot, but I can tell you it is a lot more fun to drive. Big difference in performance, sound, and just the whole feel of the car. And it is louder. A lot louder. I like the sound, my wife likes the sound, and unless I get a ticket or the neighbors start throwing rotten oranges at me, I'm going to leave the pipes as they are.
