20x11.5+28

Do you think 20x11.5+28 wheels in the rear would work?

I'm running a 20x11.5 +38 in the rears with 315 MPSS and the driver side is rubbing when i hit dips on the road going 40mph+ This occur before and after an alignment was done within factory specs. The tech said he could adjust the camber so that it wouldn't rub but i would definitely get excessive tire wear so I opted not to have the camber adjusted. If you look at the pic below, I'm about a 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch from hitting anything on the inside of the wheel. I had a shop look at my fenders to see if i could roll it a little but there was no fender to roll. Everything under the fender was already flush. With my set up it is perfectly flush with the fender. If i went with a lower offset i would have definitely ran into more issues and if I went with a 315 rear tire, i definitely wouldn't have any issues at all.

To answer your question, when ordering my custom wheels, the retail shop and the manufacturer said that this is the max offset (+38) they would go. Otherwise they would not guarantee fitment and i would be stuck with the wheels if I opted otherwise to go with a lower offset.

Sorry not the best photos but you get the idea. Again this is only my experience and others may have different experiences. Hope this helps.

How much (rear) camber did you end up with?

I'm not sure but the tech said he kept it within factory specs.

Yes, I have a 2013 Yellow ZL1, factory wheels with Continental extreme contact DWS06 315/35/20's on the rear, all season. 13K since tire purchase. NO clearance problems, I have 24K miles on the car.Only problem with the stock size matching Conti's (285) on the front it does drag on low curbs, as in entering a parking lot. I angle the entrance ( raises one side first) then almost no dragging. Working on that problem, think I have a fix.

Love the wheels, was just curious what offsets you went with to make the 12" wide work?
