Check engine light on

My check engine light came on today, if oil life is below 25 % would that cause a cel. Car runs fine no noise or anything can't find anything wrong. But the auto start would not work, no messages shown in dic other than the cel. Any ideas what it may be?

I don't think it's anything to do with oil life. Remote start will never work with a CEL. Buy a code reader or go have the code read to see what it is

can't believe this... this just happened to my car as well. I have a reader and it read the same code P0496.It reads Evaporative Emission System High Purge Flow. got the same symptoms as you. Remote start does not work and car seems to run fine. drive it last night no issue but this morning i see that code.

Please keep us posted about your dealer visits.

The purge valve solenoid is the common cause for this on the 3.6l.

It is the valve that is in the way of removing the center ignition coil on the passenger side. It has the long bolt going from front to back.

This is covered under your bumper to bumper, have the dealership fix it.

Your powertrain and emission warranties are longer than bumper to bumper. This is covered under one of those.
