PDIM Available on 8/15?

Not sure if I am spreading misinformation here...but I was told by a dealer that while the PDIM unit is on backorder it will be available as of 8/15. He also said that when you buy the unit it comes with the steering wheel control.
Can anyone confirm this?

The date I'd almost be willing to believe until you throw in the steering wheel comment. That just makes me think....

And telling you what you want to hear. Steering wheel controls won't be included from anything I've seen on any of their sites or product info.

This Personal Device interface Module (PDIM) allows the user to plug their remote audio devices (iPod, MP3 player, etc.) into the USB port. The PDIM allows for command and control of the remote audio device through the radio and steering wheel controls.
I was able to get this off the website http://www.gm.oeaccessories.com/pascomotors/ Maybe i am miss reading it but it sounds like you can control through the steering wheel???

Absolutely you can, but it's kind of false advertising...

You have to have steering wheel controls... If you have steering wheel controlls from the factory then you have the PDIM already. If you're buying the GMPP PDIM then you don't have steering wheel controls.

You would have to buy the controls separately from the parts department (it's not included) and hope they integrate easily. I think they will, but no one has done it yet to my knowledge so

I just went to the Chevrolet website to build my Camaro and see if any new items are available and I found a dealer installed PDIM. It will be available Q4 so I assume you can now add this and let the dealer do all the programming.

I'm not sure what's going on with the website but it works for me, I just did a search for 92244580 and it came up.

You can always order it from your dealer.
