6 cyl vs maxim

Okay so a fully bolted on and tuned 7th gen maxima vs my fully bolt on. Including the ported manifold and manifold spacer and a tune. , who has the advantage ? Both cars are auto. I've raced a stock maxima 7th generation and left him in the dust but never a modified one

3600lb 260hp sedan that only comes in a 5 speed auto (or 6M, but that's a single select model IIRC). How modified are we talking? Because as long as you don't have massive wheels I would be surprised if the Maxima was any challenge...

The 7th Gen Maximas come with a CVT Trans (unless he swapped) not a 5 Auto or a Manual (I work at a Nissan Dealership). I drive a stock Camaro V6 (except short throw and 20s) and I can definitely say Stock vs Stock the Maxima is slower so adding bolt ons won't change a lot. Especially when I hear customers and other employees talk about the Maxima being hard to modify for Drag Strip because of the CVT not keeping the car in high revs on a strip.

Simply looking up a 0-60 time the maxima I found to be a 5.7 I have the 2:92 gears bc I have the auto and the 0-60 times for that was like 6.2-6.3

Their pretty close. So if the maxima reacts better to mods comapred to the camaro it would win?

Crap, didn't realize the 7th gen was post 2009, thought it was 03-08. My apologies.

Yeah, you're gonna have a bit of a time with the 2LS... it'll pull pretty well in the top of 2nd and third but you're going to lose off the line. Hard to say though.
