This is a Fully-Instructed DE event -
- Registration: onsite, day of event
WATCH THE FORUM FOR NEWS
COSTS: $100 Driver/$80 beginners
Set up at 7:30 (we always need volunteers)
Gates open at 8:00
Tech Inspection/Registration 8:00-9:00
Mandatory Drivers Meeting 9:15
Track Hot 9:30
Lunch break about 12:00
Run 'till 3:30
Time Trials 3:30
Track Cold by 5:00
Be sure and prepare your car beforehand by removing all loose items and checking fluids, brakes, and tires.

This sound interesting. My wife and I participate in AutoX up in Corpus but I have looking to do something more like a road course. Is this what you'll be doing? What kinda of high speeds we talking about? As far as tech is concerned my stock tires are getting pretty near replacement. What are the minimum requirements on tires? Is there any race equipment required other than a helmet and proper attire? I appreciate any info or links to the event you may be able to provide. Also is this an SCCA event? We are members that is why I ask. Thx.

The speed depends on the set up of the track. Me my self i can hit about 130 mph before i have to take a sharp curve.on the tires, i have use some stock tires almost worn out and i will finished them there in a couple of runs, before i change to another pair. But if you take some decent good tires u can run all day and still go back home with them. On equipment, i recomend a torq wrench to check your lug nuts after each session, and a low profile jack. For sure a DOT aproved helment. If you cant provide one we usually have lenders. We can always lend you our equipment or anything else you would need. What i do is set my eyes on those shelby / mustangs and try to catch up to him and once you are on their a$$ they have to give you the forcefull signal to pass them if not they get a black flag for been too slow.

Sounds great. I'll do they Lincoln test on my tires and see how that goes. We have everything you mentioned so should be good to go. I'll get with the wife cuz I'm sure she will want to run her car too. As long as work cooperates we probably be seeing you guys there. Thx for the info.
