Waste of money, you won't see any big gains unless you go with long tubes

not true...... while they dont make as much power as longtubes, there's still power to be made paired with highflow cats.

I have Doug Thorley shorties on my 1LE.

Only a waste of money if you're going for HP gains. Not everyone is.

I knew the power gains wouldn't come close to long tubes, I got them for looks and they probably weigh 15 pounds less than the stock ones.

lololol...long tube vs short tube? like maybe 5hp WHEN used with with H/F cats or cat delete...

all previous tests(like 8 yr ago!!!) were done with stock cats and shorties..what a joke...THE major restriction in our exhaust is the cats!

OP 'cause ur in the land of fruits and nuts(sorry peeps) ur f'd! any chance you can move! ROFL...

gonna do u a solid...contact dynoSteve at RDP https://www.rdpstore.com/ ASAP. They have a SCT/tune for life deal that WILL wake your ride up STOCK! and best part...will pass ALL emissions...how do I know? Just passed my MD sniff test which is based on the CA model....good for 2 more yrs!(I have a '14 motor in my 2010, replace under warranty 50k ago...)

plus with any future mod usually a tune is needed so ur already set.

Good luck! peace

Install was easy with two people, maybe a few hour job. Hardest part was putting the dipstick tube back in. No issues so far besides on the driver side, farthest back spark plug coil wire needs to be longer and is close to the header so you will need a heat sleeve.

Also Dynojet vs. Mustang dyno. Can be upwards of a 10% difference between the two.

Op.....i had Jba shorty headers for 3 plus years with Solo hi flow cats. My car dynoed last fall at 375 rwhp. Added longtube headers this spring. 376 rwhp. The difference is that shortys with hi flows fall off toward the end of the graph. The longtubes hold power right till the end. And with shorties and hi flows you dont need a tune.
