My decision will be baaed on when GM releases the gears for public purchase, then if that happens i will go GM gears but with JRE posi mod and caps
2nd i was at thinking about 1le axles But i dont see them being different other than cv joint size or able to handle higher hp being the 1le having the same 400 /426 hp engines as the SS So i would go with 1000hp axles and alum driveshaft The zl1 sways are on my list but i am looking to go pedder suspension parts Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk 2

Here's my $.02 on the axles... They'd have to be stronger. The torque multiplier just went from 3.46(?, not sure about manual, I have an auto which is even taller) to 3.91. That's a half point shorter! Maybe someone can chime in that can actually do the math, but that torque/hp was just multiplied by a heckuva lot more than stock, and GM obviously knows the stock SS axles can't handle that much multiplied power. The other thing to keep in mind is they are designed to be raced at the road course track, not casually driven to the mall. Now we wait for GM to release numbers or one of us fools to buy them and run em til they break lol

Thats also a deciding factor at the time of gears being released, i guess i would go gm if also avail at order time
Agree road course specific and the need for improved cv's, i just dont see the shaft material being that much different We will see.. The torq levels of the zl1 is what pushed the need for improved shafts all around IMPO coming in at over 500 each I would go 1000 hp for a bit more $$ over going zl1 shafts Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk 2

I would go with an aftermarket install kit. I am a gm tech and gm diff shim and spacers can be a pain to get if you're in a hurry. They usually come in a pack of 10 in .001" increments. If the aftermarket would sell just the pinion and carrier shims I'd be set. The bearings can be reused if they are not damaged when they are removed.

I got the ring and pinion. I won't be able to install for a while. This car is my daily driver. I also have to wait for it to slow down at work.
