7 weeks at 2000 !!!!!!

Wow my dealership is crazy! Nice people but I don't think they really understand how to use a computer.

Week one we show them the bulletin that all the dealerships were suppose to get about confirming order that will have to have the back up sensors added. (1st wk of Sept)

Week three we are reassured that everything is good and the car will be built soon. All along we are telling them that the car is stuck at 2ooo because we check on the internet. (Thanks Viz for all your hard work and giving me weekly updates!)

Week four we get an apology and confirmation from the General Manager that it was being held up due to the back up sensor and now it's good to go.

Week seven and it is still at 2000. Yesterday they, my parents, were told that the car was at 2200 by the salesman. Is there even a 2200 code? I had to check today with Viz, which I would have waited till next week, to confirm. It was still at 2000. LOL

What can we do beside hope they can figure it out and not go crazy!!!

Maybe it is not the dealership that is causing the hold up. But some glitch in the system caused by the back up sensor addition.

Spoke to the General Manager and he said he talked to GM and has a confirmation number on the issues that the order is suppose to be expedited now. Also, that if it does not move by next Wednesday he will be calling GM again. He said that they could not give him a reason on why production was not picking up the order.

Fingers are still crossed. The Manager said that if we don't get the car by the deadline for the $500 rebate that he would make this right by us.

If it is at 2000 it is out of your dealers control and GM now has control of your order. I don't know that I have heard of anyone being at 2000 for so long. Is there a 2200 code? Possibly, but if there is it is not one used very often.

I hope things work out now that you seem to be getting some answers. Otherwise, I would head over to a new dealer that has confirmed allocation or check with Eric, Becky or Scott & get yourself rolling. I know of people in my TPW group that were allocated and built in 35 days. Good luck

I know I can't find where anyone has been stuck at 2000 either.

I think the plan now is week 9 is the breaking point. Then they will be looking to cancel this order and start back at 1100 with the same dealership or another.

There were some orders returned to the dealers because of the backup sensors, so you may have gotten hung up in limbo. But, you're moving now and life is good.
