2014 RS rear turn signals

I was just curious about this. Most all 2014's that I've seen on the road are non RS cars. So with the RS option, what part of the rear tail lights are the turn signals and where are the back up lights? I know the tail lights are the led rectangular outline, but not sure about the other lights. Any pics?

Outside portion of center white strip is turn signal.

Middle portion is reverse lights.

Outside ring is for brake lights.

It appears there are LEDs on the inside portion of the center white area, but I don't know the reason. (I own one...)

You're correct OP. The left part of the light does nothing. And obviously the outer red lights are the brake lights

That clears it up! I hadn't seen any operate so I didn't know. Odd that the inner section does nothing. You'd think it would be part of the blinker too. Then it would kind of match the non RS lights--blinkers on each end with reverse in the middle. Appreciate the info.

The inner section is for Europe. Europe requires a rear fog light.

So, that said, I'm assuming the LEDs are there... I wonder what it would take to get them working?

Not that it's something I'd probably put at the top of the mod list, but more out of curiosity.

The more I see the 14's, the more I don't mind the layout of the new tail lights. I'm waiting to trade in/upgrade until I see the 6th Gen's though.

You'd probably need Gen5DIY to make you a harness or something.

Meh.. I asked this in another thread. I figured it'd be a rear facing fog light and non functional for US models.. just like my E46...

I'm just the opposite. No matter how many times I see the '14 tails the more I hate them. I do hope GM does something about the tails for the '16 Camaro. Because, yes, taillights I hate WILL stop me from buying the car.
