Plasti dip

I dipped my wheels, all emblems, spoiler, and gas lid black. Did the front "SS" with yellow plasti dip. Easy and looks great.

I did mine while on the car. Just taped off the wheel and did in garage out of the wind.

I decided to try my hand at the plasti dip. I started with the emblems. After seeing how easy it was,(and a few adult beverages) I decided to try the wheels in the fading light of evening. I did both drivers side wheels and then called it a night. The next morning I was a bit disgruntled by the look of the front wheel. It was fuzzy / bumpy looking. I carried on with the other wheels. They all came out spectacular, so I decided to strip the fuzzy one and start it over. The dip came off without much difficulty and any tough spots where easily dealt with by using some brake cleaner. I'm very satisfied with the results and I can definitely attest to the importance of nozzle distance and speed.

I don't recall any pictures or comments about how the plasti dip comes out on the textured bowties like on my 2015. I think it came out great. The texture shows through and looks like it could be stock. I used a razor blade to score the plasti dip just inside the chrome and it ended up working perfectly.
