Those "features" were volunteer actions by the folks at Oshawa...it wasn't an advertised thing. There's some pretty cool people up at that plant.
I hope they do something like that with the ZL1. It would be cool to have, especially if it is the first camaro i have ever owned.

Hmm...

The 'strap' isn't a strap - it's a power cord so that we can power up the vehicle at autoshows-- so that the halos stay on

(and make all other cars wet themselves.......

-- there is an 'inverter' strapped under the car to allow this along with a 'headlamp jump' that overrides the body controller - allowing the halos to remain on. (the body controller would normally shut them off after approx 8-10 minutes) .........

AH!!! I thought that Shunt might be sneaking in for a test drive, but I guess not, lol. I always wondered about powering the cars on display... Thanks!

I love the car and will be buying one but isn't it kind of silly with all the coolers and such for road course work (transmission differrential supercharger) that they did not put in the dry dump sump oil system.

The Z06 and ZR1 both can achieve well over 1 full G of steady-state lateral forces...the system was a necessary precaution in both of those models to prevent the engine from over-heating and breaking.

In the Camaro...it's unlikely it'll achieve those numbers from the factory, and the LSA has a new Camaro-specific oil pan likely designed (in addition to packaging concerns) for the higher lateral forces the ZL1 can/will achieve compared to the CTS-V. In short -- it probably doesn't "need" it. And that's an expensive system to put in place just because.
