They should offer a per-use service........lockout service=$25 per use, auto crash notification if airbags deploy $50, nav on a per use basis, diagnostic service on a per use basis, etc. I wouldn't mind paying to get into my locked car or in a crash, but realistically $240 a year is a lot of money for something I won't really use otherwise.

I was at the dealer today and picked up an OnStar booklet from their lit rack. This is what's covered when and for how much (in the U.S.).
Here's a link to the full-size image (2000 x 1073) http://postimg.org/image/6zvtczow7/full/

Well according to the above, Onstar unlocking your car IS NOT included with the free plan, or no plan.
Like they informed me 2.5 years ago when I did not opt for their paid service. |

I should have clarified "not unlocking your car with a simple call to an Onstar rep", like if you lock your keys in the car.
Nor any of the emergency services, or stolen vehicle locate. |

But that's what the app is for. If you lock your keys in the car then you use the app and it sends a signal to the car and unlocks it. Not call required and service is free.

2010 2SS camaro losing power.
I have a 2010 2SS automatic camaro that is losing all power when the key is turned over. It's not losing it because it's starting its just losing literally all power. Only thing that stays on is the service engine light. The car only has 13k miles on it. The car won't turn over or anything. No noise what so ever when the key is turned over. It has a brand new battery. So we ruled that one out. What else could it be?

I don't think anyone is saying these services would work. What we're saying is, if you have a 2014+ Camaro (might just be SS, I don't know) then the Onstar App on your phone will continue to work, albeit in a reduced functionality.

I now understand that. A benefit of 2014+ models.
