This is Rocket Science!
The good news is that all of this has been done many times over and I think you will agree if you do additional research over on CTSVOwners .com. Look up "Rubber Duck" if you want the rocket science explanation, nothing short of amazing.

The 1 7/8 headers and 90mm TB will will put you in a different parts list. My advice would be to save your money on excessive
heads/blower porting, unless you are doing it yourself. Porting the snout is a must! Check out Brian Tooley's camshafts, or Keith's Street/Track sweeper series (If you can still get one) Everyone has an opinion for sure but for me I'm glad I didn't get caught up in the bigger the better with camshafts, the BTR2 is making over 700 to the ground. Spend your money on upgrading your HX and HX pump and add capacity with a coolant tank. Running 15lbs of boost generates a ton of heat and the PCM will cap your efforts by pulling timing. 92 octane up here in WA, was huge deciding factor for me. Hope some of my "Opinions" help you with your build, Good Luck!

don't forget about the ZR1 cam. 35hp oem drivability. $109

if you going to pull the snout port it.

porting will definatly make more power but you just have to decide how far you want to tear down and how much money you want to spend.

Just porting the snout doesn't do much. I would port the blower as well.

The drivability around town is excellent!! The exhaust flaps keep it from being too loud when cruising, but is is a BEAST in start-up and WOT.

Here is the deal I spoke to lingenfelter just a couple of days ago. if you look at my list of parts you will see what i have..i was going to port the snout and add the TB together..But lingenfelter told me that its not worth the 30hp everyone thinks it is. they told me not to bother to port it. they said the only time they port it is when they are doing a cam, otherwise the cost of pulling it and porting it is not worth it...
But since your already doing a cam then go ahead and do it,lingenfelter told me the reason they port it is the smooth out the thottle response not for the power gain.. if anyone should know its them.. I was told that they do at least 100 ZL1's a yr in house ,not including all the parts they sell.
I have the GT9 cam which does not have a lot of lobe for a larger cam ,but it does pull like a huge train on the freeway ,it has a huge KICK IN THE PANTS FEEL,LOL i hope it helps

Do you have an auto or a manual? It makes a difference when you get to the camshaft. It you have the option of revving it up and dragging the clutch a little at start you can handle a lot more cam. With my car you have to work the clutch a little more than the stock engine or it will die on you. I don't think you can put the really radical cams in an auto without stall problems, unless you keep the idle very high, and then you start battling the torque converter...
