Well I went and did something I thought I’d never do! Traded 8 cylinders for 4! I got tired of issues with the Camaro and tuners that wouldn’t accommodate me to get a proper tune done so I said f**k it and traded for something I always had a secret love affair with and wanted for a long time! A lot of fun but ina totally different way! Say goodbye to Blizzard and hello to Ruby! It’s been a blast over the last 10 years with the Camaro and all you guys but it’s time to move on!

Didn't see that coming! Makes sense though - I think that new gen Miata is a great looking car, and probably a real fun time to push without having such high limits. I've always wanted one - but in addition to, not in replacement of V8 therapy. Hope to see you at the beach or something again some time! I'd love a rip in that thing!

Seriously! I get it that times change and sometimes change is good. But also you gotta look to the future - there aren't going to BE cars like this in 20 years. I'm keen to hold on to the end of an era. The LS3 is going to go down without a doubt as one of the best ways to converter dinosaurs (or corn) into smiles, and I intend to keep making that conversion for as long as they'll sell it.

I miss you guys - if I planned a meet who would come out? We could do something central - maybe Syracuse/Rochester area. Open to suggestions on time/place.

You traded Vegas for a Jeep and came back to a Camaro so who knows, maybe I'll be back someday.

If I were younger I'd hold onto the dinosaur for the future but I like trying different things and I'm not getting any younger. So time to move on to a different platform to get my thrills a different way. It does seems counter intuative to move from a muscle car to a 4 banger though! I also took advantage of the high market value of the 6th gens right now. I actually MADE money on the deal and drove my Camaro for free for 3 years. Can't beat that deal. I do miss the power and torque though I won't lie!

I get it for sure. Sometimes it's just the fun of trying something new. You can't ignore the deal either, being able to enjoy the car at no cost for three years is a significant factor. There is also no doubt that the lower limits of a car like the Miata are actually what makes it so much fun. It's nimble, it's balanced, and you can toy with the limit much more reasonably than you can with a more power, more grip, and heaiver car. Taking any car up to the limit requires skill and careful judgement - but when you slip over that line with more speed and more weight, it's definitely more to try to gather back up!

Power and torque??? They make turbo kits for them things, don't they!?!?

I’m down to meet up. I’m in Rochester, every Tuesday a bunch of cars get together at Ferarri’s pizza bar here in chili ny. Mostly older muscle cars.

Every Tuesday they meet. As the warmer weather settles in more cars will show. Was there last Tuesday, about 10 cars
