This sux because I think they will have to change the ignition switch as well. The switchblade key it laser cut through the middle of the key. A traditional key and ignition would use pins and followers to fall into place to start the car when the key is inserted. I am by no means an expert on this, and I'm fairly new to Chevy's. Does anyone else think this is so, because I am in the same boat here and really like my key. I did try to look up some of the recent key fobs that they are using such as the 2015 Tahoe and Yukon and they look nice, but still not as good as what we have. I also like the all in one system to not have keys jutting out of my pockets and stabbing me in the leg. Maybe we should boycott and have them install push button start ignitions on all the Camaros. I know that is just a mighty high wish

Sorry I am not going to get this fixed. I like my flip out key fob too much, and I am short. No way my knees have ever or will hit the key.

Aw man I like my switchblade key. It's a conversation piece at dinner! Lol. And it occupies me when I'm bored

Do we get to keep our current FOBs? An extra key or two would be cool.

So explain to me how carrying a separate key and fob is less bulky than carrying a fob with the key built in? |

Do you know can you just use the ignition key with that set up? If the fob is just for keyless entry and you could just use the key that wouldn't be quite so bad. If the transmitter needed to start the car is in the fob that would really suck.

This really irks me..left BMW because I hated the issues.. now the recalls for GM...come on now.. I paid 42k for my camaro, I'd like a better than what 90s Geo Metro has. (no offense to any owner of this artifact). I do miss push button in my BMW and it disdains me that a 15k Kia has one.
