[QUOTE=Iroc87;5530659]I'm thinking of going with these on the rear because I have a nail in the left rear tire. I could replace only the 1 tire with the OEM Goodyears F1 305/35zr/20

Any thoughts about going with these for The rears
pilot super sport

Have Michelin Pilots on my bike

I am thinking of getting new wheels. I have looked at my build sheet and still cant find the correct rim size. I know the fronts are Good Years 285-35ZR20 and the wheels I am looking at are Summit 20x9 Ultra 431 Hustler 5x120 +35mm Machined Black Wheels Rims Inch 20"

Getting tired of all the brake dust showing on the alum wheels from factory??

Im assuming it is not forged and therefore heavier? It will negatively impact performance to a small, degree.

Just changing the stock rubber will, havent you guys been reading any magazines? The stock tires are part of what gives the ZL1 an edge on the track, you don't want anything but the stock rubber on this car. Unless it's a wider version of the same tires I would not get anything other than stock.

It does not say Forged...says machined. Another issue I just found. The fronts are 20x10 and the rear would also have to be 20x10 as they dont make a 20x11 for the rear.

Now what I say??

I think GM has a contract w/Goodyear to use these tires. Yes the car was tuned with these tires. That does not mean that there are not better tires out there. The Michelin tires are rated #1 in their class. Read the reviews on these tires.

Check CCW Wheels. GM used them to build the prototype wheels when the ZL1 was first being tested. They have the correct size and back spacing needed for the Z.

Change out the pads. Black wheels will also look like crap if you dont clean the dust of regularly and ruin your finish. Changing out the pads is the best resolution.

A set of these would keep the same tire height using 285/35-20 on front and 315/30-20 rear. The 305/35-20 stock tire and the 315/30-20 in R888 have same tire height and rolling circumference. The Pirellis in the previous post would be taller in front than stock and shorter in the rear. These would really give you and edge on the track. No street tire will perform on track as well as a dedicated track tire with R1 compound
