VERY critical in the cold months to empty every 1000 miles or so as your going to catch a ton more water vapor as well as the oil.

That seems like a ton of blow by. Also my oil in my catch can is never that light. Usually a very similar shade to the oil that I drain from my engine. What's with that?

I'm in Houston so it usually doesn't get too cold. But the humidity here is high.

Thats exactly how mine looks now with the cold weather (30's) recently. Didn't use the car for a week but went out to empty the can and it was a frozen chunk at the bottom of the can. Just proves it is mostly condensation.

The colder the climate, the more water vapor, the more it will look like melted chocolate icecream.

It been the coldest winter in the 5.5 years I have loved in Charlotte, so I am not surprised for all that vapor to be in my catch can.

Reminder bump! As we get into the cooler months of the year, you will start catching a lot more condensation and your catch can will fill up faster. We recommend checking your catch can once BETWEEN oil changes and during your oil change during these colder months to prevent overfilling the can.

Please feel free to call, PM or email us anytime with questions.

Best regards,

Tyler
