Can you share the reason you went with BBK as opposed to CAI, Roto-Fab or the others? Just curious...

i wanted the CAI inc one, but found out it's not legal in california. even though it's a bolt on, i didn't want to have to hassle swapping them out for smog. also, we got group buy pricing at our meet so i saved quite a bit of money on their system. i like the look of the chrome and blue with ABM and they're getting 10-15hp gains and 10-15 torque as well.

i'd say the biggest factor was the money though. the CAI inc is like $400, i got this one for $215 plus tax. i think theirs is carb legal out here too. i've heard that they're working on the deals we got that day for all of camaro5 members to take advantage of whether you were at the meet or not. more info to come on that though. haven't heard confirmation yet.

i can try and find it yeah...it came with the intake system and the end of it says BBK. i'll find out though cause i'll have to get a new filter eventually right?

Like the color of our cars, the color in the voting is very unpopular.....

I truly do not understand. Everywhere I go I get a complement on the ABM color. In fact, someone stopped me the other day and said they hated they new Camaro but the ABM made it look good!

Just saw this and voted. We NEED abm for the next diecast because when I look at any Camaro toys at stores or online all I see is orange, silver, black, silver, or red jewel....never any blue. Chevymall needs to make them all though.

I hear ya. I get more compliments on the color than the actual car. I've been voting for ABM over and over again. You just have to clear your browser history after each vote for it to count.

My opinion is that GM never really gave ABM a chance. By the time the Camaro's really hit the streets, GM had already pulled the plug. ABM was just marginally the least ordered color, within half percent of IBM, and within 1 to 2 percent of RJT and a few others. The bulk of initial orders went with black, silver, VR, and IOM, I believe. Clearly the initial wave of buyers are hardcore Camaro enthusiasts who think a Camaro can't be blue, with some exceptions among that group, represented well here.

The second wave of buyers (non hardcore) that GM must now count on to sustain the Gen 5 Camaro's success, clearly love this color, based on all the comments you lucky ABMer's are getting. (I had a 78' in a very ABM-like blue, so I know first-hand how stunning this color is...)

GM wasn't thinking long-term, as far as I'm concerned....They pulled ABM to make room for limited-run of Synergy Green. While some may like SG, I don't see it having near the broad appeal that ABM would continue to have, given the chance it deserved........:(

I am in the process of repainting a black 1:18 Jada 2010 SS in factory ABM. So far, I have stripped the car of paint and am now filling in the mail slot in the front bumper with Bondo.
I will post a thread when done.
