Paddle shifter eliminator question

I plan on doing the dual shifter kit. I was curious if at any point if I was to trace wiring back to the factory paddles on the wheel if those button could be used for anything else like (line lock or nitrous purge button ext)

Thanks

I don't see why not they're only switches. But be really careful working around that airbag, they can kill ya!

If u got a diagram on the wiring I could locate them under the dash somewhere before the go to the ecu or before they got to the tcm not sure where they go to first.

Those switches operate on a half of a volt so I wouldn’t be putting a load through them. They won’t hold up.

There is only one wire that goes to the switches, it is purple. The switches have resistors in them, in order to use them as conventional momentaries the resistors need to be removed and the circuits completed. Getting 3 additional wires into the steering wheel would be a difficult task.

Thats what I was wondering. If they can't be used it not a big deal.
