Not that I know of. And I doubt there ever will be.

Stock heads have supported over 600hp. Doubt they can be improved much.

Some porting on the exhaust side might be beneficial , but haven't heard of any one doing it. Has anybody? What do the people think?

I ported my LFX heads but didn't flow them on my bench. Should have done a before and after. It's been about a year so don't remember the fine details but from what I remember I'd say that 8-10% at peak flow would be about the most improvement expected without an inordinate amount of time spent.

It's an Impala engine destined for a Fiero, so different intake manifold and upper intake runner shape, also ported. Haven't run the engine yet.

Wow, 8-10% increase. That's a substantial amount. Anyone doing a full out build ,like djcolopi, this sounds like it would highly beneficial!

Damn! Bore out the block and sleeve it, forged internals (pistons & rods) and port the heads The question now is what will stay stock on the car lol

When I say 8-10% I mean raw air flow, not power gained. It's not a direct correlation and depends on where the weakest link is, i.e. if the main bottleneck is somewhere else you may not be able to measure the change.

I did the entire air path through the 304 hp rated Impala engine and am expecting to get about 15 hp from all my work to bring it up to Camaro standards.

Sorry if I stirred things up, improvements can be made but as always the result needs to be tested.
