Ordering 1LE with IO interior?

Hi all,

New to forum and of course need to start out with a question.

I worked up a build order with my internet sales rep for a 2SS 1LE with IOM exterior and IO interior ... the inventory manager hasn't been able to get the request to accept the interior color.

The dealership is "asking up the food chain" for clarification.

Is there any documented restrictions on interior color for a 1LE?

No interior color restriction for 1LE. If it can be had with a standard 2SS, it can be had with the 1LE. The only issue is that a lot of dealers still can't order a 1LE yet because of an error message when trying to order one.

Likely the issue noted by GearheadSS.

However, just for clarification, IOM interior is not available with all exterior colors.

According to the folder you must order RS to get IO interior on the 2ss

Well it appears that I was wong. IOM interior is not available with 1LE for some reason. We were finally able to order one and the only interior color available on 1SS or 2SS is black.

When 2013 ordering was opened, you could place a preliminary order with any interior color. They've changed that recently.

Effective 8/20/2012, the following changes will be made to the Vehicle Order Guide:

• Coupe Mechanical section-Added "Brakes, Brembo". It is "S" on 1SS, 2SS and ZL1.
• Coupe Mechanical section-Added "Rear wheel drive". It is "S" on all equipment groups.
• Coupe Mechanical section-(1LE) SS Performance Package, updated footnote 1 to now read "Requires (AFJ) Black Sport Cloth interior. Not available with (MX0) 6-speed automatic transmission, any stripe package or any LPO wheels." Also, added a footnote 2 that reads "Requires (AFM) Black front leather seating surfaces interior. Not available with (MX0) 6-speed automatic transmission, any stripe package or any LPO wheels." and applies to 2SS.
• Convertible Mechanical section-Added "Brakes, Brembo". It is "S" on 1SS, 2SS and ZL1.
• Convertible Mechanical section-Added "Rear wheel drive". It is "S" on all equipment groups.

I'm in the process of deciding whether to keep my 2010 or go new due to some paint issues I've started a claim on. I thought a 1LE would be awesome but my IOM interior was a must-have. Why would GM care what color seat goes into one of these beasts?

That would potentially put alot of people out.
if the only Interior you can get is Black.

I would have liked a grey interior in a sim 1SS 1LE.

Agreed. This is how I figured out you could only do black. I went to order a SIM/Gray 1SS and got the error message.

I put my order in for Beige interior awhile ago. I am guessing that order will not go through. Why do they care about the interior color?

Is this a temporary constraint or will black be the only available interior color for the 1LE?
