What does your car show on your profile in the GM owner center online?

It's not his car, but I'd think the owner center online would show it, in seeing how it shows service dates and such. Not sure though.

This thread is not about my car, mine is the one referenced in post 3. As far as what my owners center says, I haven't logged into that in roughly a year. I'll have to go look.

The very sad thing is , a darn catch can only will help the motor in the long run. It does not provide any additional strain on anything, it is just a preventative maintenance piece. Hearing that gm is voiding warranties on a high performance car for this makes me think that we are dealing with Dodge...lol

Find a gear head service advisor at another dealer and this will be resolved without a hitch.
Once the Warranty is Flagged by GM it will come up at every Dealer

It's all in the Warranty language

New ZL1's ( and the soon come ZL1 -1LE) have full Track Coverage Warranties BUT the car has to remain Stock

My owners center has my car at 11,422 miles and a full warranty. However that is the mileage that it had when it was towed to the dealer, and it has not been updated since the day it was towed to the dealer which is one day prior to my warranty being voided. So I have no idea what all of that means other than to say that I have had multiple people and several dealers check and I have no powertrain warranty at all, and likely OP's friend is in the same boat.

You do know that you have to manually update the mileage on the MyChevroletOwners page...If you have never updated it will remain that same forever...How any miles show on the car's odometer???

How is GM screwing anyone over when they are doing EXACTLY what they said they would do?

If you need a mod friendly dealer you are already walking a fine line.

If you want to do Powertrain modifications make sure you can live without your Powertrain warranty. That's been the unwritten rule here for years.

Sorry guys, I have zero desire to do anything to my SS. I get it that people do, though. But there is a cost and GM has been pretty clear and consistent.

Did he try to go somewhere else for repair? Also did he buy the car at this dealer?

Is this dealership out on Long Island? I have a friend who had a similar experience with a dealership out there. They kept his car for a couple of weeks stating they were trying to replicate the problem. After 2 weeks they said there was a miss and they couldn’t figure out what was causing it, possibly his CAI. They then went on to say that his CAI had voided his warranty and they charged him for the diagnostic time. He left with the car missing and no warranty. He then went to a local speed shop and they changed his coils and wires and the problem went away. He tried to get the warranty reinstated showing them what was done to repair the car but they have refused.
