How many of you drive your SS like this?

I was hanging out with some friends yesterday one of which also has an LS3 M6, we made a quick run to the gas station and when he was driving he was constantly dropping it down gears and hammering it!

I mean like rolling in 3rd at 3.5k dropping it down into 2nd to get it to about 4.5k and HAMMERING it and I think he even did it from 2nd at 3.5k to 1st

He says he drives it like that ALL the time, seems a little rough to me.

Any of you folks drive it like that? Thoughts?

I'm not that old (27) but I can't imagine what it would have been like if I had this car 5 years ago, I'd probably do the same thing always getting on it, burnouts, etc. Glad I waited until I was a little more mature.

I may take off a whole lot quicker than i will as i get older.. but im not dropping down gears and over-revving the motor.

Well when he pays someone big$$$ to fix it or crawls under it and learns how to fix it himself he'll learn just how hard he can be on it. When I was 18 and had my 74 w/M21 I learned pretty quickly...

How do you think I got the name The_Blur?

Seriously, I've never been in a car driven like that. I would hate to be the second owner of that car when it sells.

It sounds like he had good reason to put the work into it.

I'm dumb.

But in response to the thread: No, I drive her pretty easy almost all the time

Seems a little too extreme of driving if you're saying he makes it his driving style and not an occasional habit over revving the motor like that. I agree with what's been said that he'll be paying for it very soon HOWEVER too each his own and I've honestly seen people drive worse than that on a daily basis and they paid for their driving habits...

...on a lighter note he must not be that stupid, aside from his driving, because he did ditch the pony and get into the Camaro family
