That's good, so here's 2 ways for folks like us to fix their e-brake cable if they have the same problem

I've had mine like that for a while...I just unclipped the cables from the body and ziptied them to the arm (i have pfadt arms so its even easier becuase they are open). Unclipping them probably takes the tension off so the ebrake still works. I put two 35lb zip ties on each one.
