Pros and Cons about exhaust installations
Which do you recommend ? Differences between having an axle back welded or clamped ? Also if i decided to weld them on can i never change it back to stock or will it just be much harder

Clamp it, and if you like it then have it welded.

If you have an axle back welded on and later decide to return to stock, you can.
A muffler shop would simply cut out the welded area. Now the pipes will be a few inches shorter, so a sleeve would be welded to join the two ends and cover the gap. |

I recommend getting a clamp-on system but then taking it to a muffler shop for welding ($20-30) if it starts to slip.

IF you are installing MRT's I would highly recomend welding. Most everyone has issues with the passanger one slipping. I tried the clamps and tightening with everything I had, but to no avail it would slip. I gave up and had them welded in place. No regrets and it has been 4 years now.

No reason not to weld it IMO. Just be sure it's perfect before you do.

Clamp, allows better tip aligning after the systems been driven and warmed up. Also for replacements if you've been in an accident or damaged any part of the system.

Ditto on the passenger side slipping. It got to the point that I forgot about it once and it started melting the valence hole where it exits. I like the sound and ended spending $25 and had a muffler shop weld both of them in. Drive around with them clamp if you don't have a problem with them slipping you are set or at least drive around and if you like them then have it welded for peace of mind.

I have a Borla Axle Back clamped at the moment, but do plan on getting it welded for that extra security.
