Considering headers with high flow cats, can I hear yours?

I would like to meet some of the members with headers and high flow cats installed to see if the sound it's what I look for or if it's too loud for me... Northern VA.
I listened to many clips online... impossible to be objective...

Also, will the MPG go up, down or stay the same under the same driving conditions while on stock manifold?

See my signature for the MODS I have so far.

Alex,
It probably depends more on what mufflers you have at the back of the car than anything else. The cats themselves act as pretty decent resonators and keep the exhaust from droning too much. You're probably right that without hearing it, and in fact driving in a car, in person it's hard to get a good idea of just how loud it'll be. For example under WOT, the KL Camaro has headers, and 4 resonators and that's all there is to the exaust, but that's still 2 extra resonators over anyone else with the same exhaust and on a cold humid day it's 106dB from 50 feet away... it's loud, lol, but in videos it doesn't always sound that loud.

MPG will be more a result of the tune than anything else, but cruising the difference should be negligible, it'll depend on speeds and loads. It will be much worse under WOT though, the more air you flow, the more fuel you need to flow.
