I dig everything except the 6.2L hood badges. Us old farts measure motors in CUBIC INCHES - litres are how soda bottles are measured and results in VERY rounded figures for engines. Our 6.2L LS3/L99 motors are 376C.I. with change. Ford's 6.2L motor is 379C.I. with change.

Buy AMERICAN. When you want a soda, buy an 12 OUNCE can. Our measurements are more accurate!!

376 sounds wimpy to me, I am more than capable of doing simple math. So I opted for 6.2L, which when compared to most modern engines and cars that everyone is used to hearing about displacement in liters, is more than almost any car on the road.

When im around a local car show, or my dad, uncle, and grandpas cars, which all have 427's, 496's, and 502's, 376 sounds much less impressive, even though my car is faster.

Why are you telling me to buy american weirdo? We own the same (canadian/mexican) car.

So, I have a dead lifter :(

Ordered new springs (getting rid of PAC 1208X and getting BTR .660's), lifters, gaskets, etc. Gonna pull the heads and hope for no cam damage. If the cam is messed up, ill be going through all that crap again, but ditching the comp cam and getting a Cam Motion cam this time around.

Sucks big time.

Update on the damage:

High spring pressure and aggressive exhaust lobe profile killed:
One lifter, one cam lobe, all exhaust rocker tips, all rocker trunnions, and all exhaust valve tips.

Had a decent amount of really fine metal, so it was gradual except for the one trunnion that actually broke the bearing.

Everything is fixed:

Replaced with better Johnson Lifters
New Cam Motion Night Fury cam (slightly different specs)
BTR .660 springs with titanium retainers
New Exhaust valves (lapped the valves/seats)
New rods
New Intake and Exhaust rockers
BTR Trunnion upgrade kit

Decided to get ARP header bolts as the ones that came with my headers were starting to round off.

Got some small stuff in,

1LE strut tower brace, painted the ends flat black

Hurst Auto shifter plate. This thing is nice, its billet aluminum, so its cut out of a solid piece of metal, and anodized black. Going to install this weekend. Looks better in person than the pics ive seen online. And I decided not to get the actual hurst shifter cause I think its a little goofy looking.

I've always wanted the anvil notch spoiler and knew it was nearly impossible to get so I decided to call and get on the wait list today. Awesome timing, they just got a shipment and will be shipping out in the next two weeks and they had some available so I went ahead and paid for it.

Since the spoiler has to be painted I decided to get the ZL1 side rockers too. Should be here in a week.

ZL1 side skirts got here, Anvil spoiler delivered today, so eventually those will be on and painted.

My torque converter died for some reason, Im thinking it already had a problem, then trying to keep it locked on the dyno killed it. Anyway, the trans is at a shop getting rebuilt and I am waiting on the warranty replacement for my stall converter. 6L80 will be stronger than before, having them do some upgrades while its out of the car.
