Thanks a lot for the tip!!!!!! I know that my patience WILL BE REWARDED!!!! The very first car I sat in was a 1969 Camaro at the age of 5 years old in 1974. 36 years later and the HUNGER has turned into a RAVENOUS RAGE!!!! I will post the picture of me and my first true love. P.S. Don't tell my wife

Well they probably wouldn't want to steal sales from the CTS-V or Corvette. I mean seriously, they'd have to price the Camaro several thousand less than the CTS-V. It would be VERY tempting for a lot of performance oriented people to just jump ship on the CTS and just get the Camaro Z28. And who knows the Z28 could be priced around the same base price as the Vette. If that's the case, who would pay that much for ~100HP less I mean at that point the power/weight ratio would have to be pretty similar.

Facelift one year into the production cycle? EXTREMELY unlikely.

So do you keep your SS stock to trade it in on one of these, or just make it your own now?

Not really. You can do a bit of modifying to the housing on the supercharger and it clears. Robin from GM Performance did that to make an LSA fit on a stock hood.
The (Man I hate using this term) 'Bulge" on the hood in the spy photos looks about the same as a stock one. I would guess they just chopped up the engine a bit, since it is a test mule and nobody will ever see the engine bay. MY OPINION is that they are either 1: Still messing around a bit with the hood design (Do they go TF2 BB style or a spin off of Leno's TT V6 car's hood?) 2: Didn't want it to be BLARINGLY obvious that this car was a Z/28. This is GM's way of pulling a #3 by saying, "Here's the Z! Or is it? " |
