I had a car that I left a removable vinyl meatball number on for about 2 years. I removed the meatball to sell the car and it did leave a mark the shape of the meatball. The paint looked foggy in that area. I buffed it out and was able to bring some of the paint back to life but only 50% of it.
ive heard to take it off in about a year, obviously depending on weather conditions.. mine is coming off in December and going to buff wax the paint and then wrap it a different color..

I like this version far more....

T_towner, a member on the forum has his wrapped in matte black, and it looks really good, better in person obviously than in the pics; as he's local to me, and I'll catch up with him. If you do a search for him, his posts on the Power Tour show his matte black Z/28.

21st CMC - That Z is one bad monkey! Very nice layout.

Here's mine wrapped in Xpel Stealth. Car is fully protected in triple layer self healing wrap. Hash marks from a 2007 Ron Fellows Z06.

Also really liked this Zl1 I saw on the Power Tour.

Doug thanks for the feedback and design. It looks great. I already had my car trailer wrapped and I wanted to stay w/ the same theme. I am not 100% sure I like the design. But I do think it is eye catching (maybe not in a positive way).

I am using the Z in my booth at a franchise expo in September. Afterwords if it isn't growing on me I will take the wrap off.

Regarding paint damage I had the car ceramic coated before the wrap was installed. That should help protect from paint damage.

Wrap just got finished yesterday. Here are some pics of the wrap and matching trailer.

That paint scheme originated on a 1967 Camaro owned and built by Smoky Yunick. That car broke all kind of records. I have loved it since I first saw it in a Hot Rod magazine in the '80s.

If I were to wrap my car, this wold be it.

Love the look and concept of wraps. You can get crazy with colors and designs and its not permanent.
21st CMC. That looks soooo cool.

FYI- I used to be an Art Director for the GOV, so I know everyone has opinions and different taste. I now just make training videos for DHS, so no hard feels that my design wasn't your taste. My last attempt at real art was back in 2008 (see below) so I am out of practice. I am looking at getting back into art. Just can't finding anything motivating to do. So I was thinking of designing a wrap for my car and was interested in what was out there. Thus this thread.
Beautiful art !

I do not own a Z28 but I did have my SS wrapped; maybe this will help with more wrap examples?

Matte Gunmetal body; gloss black roof, spoiler, small trim around side mirrors.

Was done by ACI Dynamix in Seymour, CT.
