just wanted to give a shout out to the guys at MBRP.installed there 304 exhaust cat back on my SS a few days ago and its everything it was said to be.The entire install took me 45 min,including removing the stock system,the kit comes with all the clamps you need and i had to laugh at the instruction it comes with since they have lots of pictures probably good for some people,the first time i fired the car up and it sounded just like the sound clips,the performance on this system is second to none as far as im concerned,i would highly recomend this system for anyone looking to get a little more rumble in there SS without any drone at cruise,they get two thumbs up and i dont give that easily nice job guys:thumbup

I too bought this exhaust and installed it myself. I must say, one of the easiest installs I have ever done. Everything fit perfect with no clearance issues. Now,the biggest problem I have is people wanting me to stand on it so they can hear it!

How bad is the in cabin sound on this system? Can you have a normal conversation and have the radio turned on low and not hear it going down the highway at 70? Do you have any idea how much louder it might be with Dt shorties on the car?

I took an hour drive on the interstate with my wife last week. This exhaust is louder than the factory exhaust and you can hear it at 70 MPH easy. But that would be the fact with any aftermarket system. With that being said my wife and I did not have to scream to talk. We had the radio at about 12 which is about the volume of the exhaust at that speed.

For me the exhaust note was a major reason my wife and I bought a V8 and put aftermarket exhaust on it. The exhaust note was music to our ears.

As for the DT shorties. I have no idea.

Yea, that is great information to hear; I just purchased the system for the L99 Friday and really looking forward to hearing it. It seems like they do a good job of R&D before putting out their product.
