Where to Tune and Horror Stories

Looking for a place in St Louis are to get a tune. Any recommendations?

In looking around I've seen several horror stories and bad reviews about how it ruined his their car ran? What's up with these? Making me have doubts.

I've found in my area:
Craven performance
Performance by Joe
Franjo Speed

Are headers your only mod? If so just get a email tune from a reputable tuner from this site. Also look up Pat g. He dyno'd mine but also does email tuning

If it's a bolt-on car I'd just get an E-mail/mail order tune. Put the extra $250 you save going this way towards a cam and then get a good dyno tune. I had an E-mail tune From Texas Speed and Performance on my 4th gen F-body, seemed to perform as it should and put down the numbers at the 1/4 mile that it should. Car was just exhaust and CAI.

Just my .02

Horror stories are usually those who try to tune themselves......or installed their own parts improperly. Never a fan of email canned tunes...but as others have said, there are some really good mail order tuners for simple mods.

dont know were you are located but around here and most places a dyno tune is $450 so more like $50 more for a fine tune.

I've had a remote tune from a well known tuner in ls1tech. However, id pony up the cash and get a street or dyno tune over a remote tune if possible.
