The list continues. Engine head removed, lifters would be replaced

Good grief! It sounds like you got a first model year dud. Sorry you're having so much trouble with it! Best wishes.

Update at 34000 miles already my car has made 2 additional trips to the dealer:
- To replace lifters
-Replace serpentine belt tensioner
- and now, another trip, going for an antifrezze fluid leakage repair.
I wonder how bad is the QC control on the new Corvette Stingray and for sure would be the same history with the 6th. gen Camaro that shares the same powertrain. They don't compare with the previous bulletproof powertrain found on the 5th. gen Camaro. Too bad I let go of my trusted 5th. gen ZL1.

The old automobile rule of thumb is, "Never buy the first year of a new model". I've bought some and they were fine. Then again, I've bought others and have had problems. It seems as if your '14 Stingray is the Demon Seed of automobile lore.

I bought mine a '14 thinking on avoiding the troubled A8 automatic transmission of the following model years. First year '14 model came out with the trusted A6 automatic transmission, but I guess like you mentioned with all the manufacturing mistakes from the 1st. year of production. Dam, I like the car but not the time that I waste to be at the repair shop at least still is under warranty, first model year is 100K miles/5 years powertrain warranty, but afterwards was reduced to 60K miles, maybe they start noticing the car's issues and GM reduced their warranty coverage.
