"No accidents" you say. There's no way to tell. They very well could have gotten into one and changed the bumper themselves or taken it to a shop without claiming insurance thus no CarFax. Not only that but sometimes you can claim insurance and turn around and sell it quickly before it shows up (it can even take a few months). They may have sold it barely used because of said accident. This is all hypothetical, but I wouldn't rule it out.

I ordered a painted front bumper cover and they use those wooden sticks to support the center of the grill opening. Yours look too short for that. They do look like shims.

Those are obviously a fabrication of some sort...it's more than obvious that these are not oem

GM and some others OEMs sometimes use foam blocks to stiffen up the fascia so it doesn't deflect so much when you push on it. But I don't think any kind of block was used on the Camaro, and if it was it would be foam not wood.

Those are shims. Look at the paint wear on the one half and not on the other. They are not factory items. You have evidence of a youtube mechanic or a shady body shop visit.

Agreed with other posters here: they are shims, not factory. The factory shims are plastic, and much smaller than your pictured pieces, used for properly aligning the fascia cover.

Previous owner ran over Pinocchio and that is all that's left...

Many people have had their front bumper covers off and I have never heard of any wooden blocks, I have had the covers off both my 2010 and 2012 to change out the grills and never saw anything like them.

So would I need to return them in order for it to stay aligned?

I wouldn't re-install them as they are not from the factory. I think someone had the bumper off and used those to stiffen weak areas while it was resting on the ground or being worked on. I'm also thinking the may have been ib the are below the lower grill as the paint line looks to be similar to that shape. I'd figure out where they came from to give insight as to there purpose.
