The gfx make the whole car look longer and lower... like a jet fighter.
It looks like it is going 120 mph when it is standing still.... sweet. |

ok who wants some
so yes. the car is real. the car is not photoshopped. the ground affects seem to match the car perfectly (inferno orange metallic) and were dealer installed/painted from the sounds of it. for those that think its fake here is one other picture from my phone that i took of the engine bay from a small distance. you can see the front body kit like someone else mentioned. i worked til 4am sunday morning then had a lot of other crapola to do. trying to get more info on the car because it didnt have a window sticker on it at all and the "windowsticker" website is giving me an error. the wife took the car to work today but i will do everything possible to wipe it down and take some more pictures of it. VIN=2G1FK1EJ9A9000624 **EDIT** One other thing, this was not someone elses car that ended up not getting it. We know the dealership managers. They got one to sell and one to show. We got there 30 minutes after it went on the showroom floor Last edited by TXInfernoSS; 04-27-2009 at 09:39 AM. |

How many miles were on it? Was it used as a CTF vehicle before you got it? This car has one of those crazy < 100001 vins that all the TX event cars had. When does it say yours was built? Interesting that carfax has 2 records for it.

car had about 20 miles on it so i doubt it was from the event. the dealership only had 2 cars. this one, and one at a car show in mesquite. i will take pics of the build info etc this evening when the wife gets home with it.

You should do some digging on that VIN, it is in the format of a CTF car.
Find out the build date.... I would bet money that it is before March 16th. Can the CTF cars be sold ... |

Did a VIN search and it shows it was a "code 70-Retail Stock" for how it was ordered. It was NOT a CTF car. Was ordered for dealer stock. Went into service on 4-25-09 with 5 miles on it. Probably had 20 miles on from being driven on the PDI and from going to the body shop to have the GFX installed.

So is there a A9000624 and a A1000624?
i.e. does this car count as being one of the 1st 1000? I am confused. |

Cars with 000xxx are "pre-production" cars. They were generally reserved as part of the CTF. General production cars start with 100001. Many of the pre-production cars will be retrofitted and sold to GM employees or the public as demo models. This one and the ones in TX seem to go against this general principle. I will see what I can find out.
