I am a little embarrassed to tell this story. I don’t want any hate mail but here it goes.

I actually started looking at ZL1 convertible’s last winter. I have a home in Florida and wanted it for down there. I found one at a near by dealer on the lot in Florida. It had been on the lot over 200 days and I got them down almost 3 grand off MSRP and choked. I have a 2015 ZO6 corvette and I took it down to Florida instead.

But… still a Camaro guy and changed my mind now that I’m back north snd vette down south. I still have 2010 with supercharger etc but my oldest son has seen fit to swipe it and put it in his garage. So…..

I started looking and watching. Contacted several dealers and had orders placed but none would get picked up so I took matters into my own hands and started watching chevy inventory. This car is exactly what I wanted and all of a sudden it was there with a vin on chevy website. That was July 24.

I called the dealer and he said it had not been sold and I put $1000 down and
He e mailed me last Thursday night and said it was in. So I really didn’t wait long at all. I was afraid they were going to start dwindling ZL1 down. I don’t want electric Camaro …. If that happens. I don’t think.

Never count me out…. Lol

I really feel bad for those who have been waiting.
This dealer told me this was his second one but had been ordered since January. He had two more on order but since I purchased this one he was told those other two would not be. Arriving.

This dealer is a very small dealer in a town of 3,800 people. Family owned and operated and what a pleasure to deal with. I got EXTREMELY LICKY !

Thank you ! It is a beautiful blue. It changes in the light. I’m getting it ceramic coated next week. I did my vette and it’s just nuts what that stuff does.

a ZLE landed on a lot where I ordered from, just sitting there now! selling for MSRP. Apparently it's sold already to a guy in our group but he hasn't picked it up yet. You never know what a dealer will get in

Nothing wrong with that! Pretty sure I noticed that one as I was doing the same as you following the inventory per the site. You are not far from me. There are definitely a fair amount of 21s trickling in to dealers ... unfortunately not many blue ones. Where are you getting the ceramic coating done?

That would be ideal ... especially if the "Destination and Freight Charge" was removed from the price .

Pretty sure I spoke with a dealer in Michigan about this very thing a month or so ago when I considered an SS1LE they had there and they said if they allowed pickup they would do it all the time but they don't. Hopefully it works out for you.

There is no way to remove the freight charge. Even if they let you pick it up yourself you have to pay.

Also the dealer suggested picking it up from the plant. It’s only 6-8 miles to the dealership

I have a local place who I take all my vehicles to right here.. It’s called OC Detail. Might be a franchise but this guy is awesome. I know him because my son used to race motocross with him. He owns a Camaro and loves cars. He has a social media page Instagram I believe. You will probably see my car on there soon. My 2015 zo6, 2010 Camaro and my boat were all on there. He has done all my trucks and a Denali .

He clay bars everything takes wheels off and puts it on Jack stands. Never looks better. Kyle is his name. My local dealer got a red ZL1 vert ( dealer demo ?) off same truck as mine and he coated it

I have a deposit put down on a 21 White ZL1 vert thats been sitting at Toledo for 2 weeks now. Scheduled delivery was suppose to be Sept 15 in Sherwood Park but has now changed to Sept 25.

Ouch…I am going to bug my dealership and see if they have a date in their system now. Originally mine was scheduled for delivery August 3 before it moved back to 4D00 for a month near the end of July.
