Random Rear View Mirror "Burn" Mark???
This morning on the way to work I noticed that near the top/middle of my rear view mirror there was a random small (about the size of thumbtack head) circular black mark. Of course I thought it was on the exterior and rubbed it with my finger but it is not on the exterior of the glass. It looks like something to do with the auto-dimming feature burned out?? Anyone heard of something like this? I will get a picture soon if that helps.

Belive that is the light sensor for the auto dimming rearview mirror. put something over it at night and see how much betteryou can see behind you

I wonder why it just appeared out of the blue though. Will it need to be replaced?

Believe it or not, it's been there the whole time! You just never noticed it. We all have that mark. It's the sensor that allows our rear-view and driver's side-view mirrors to dim.

Wow, thats really strange. It's always been there but now mine is staying dark while the rest of the mirror is not during the day. Strange...maybe it will be back to normal tomorrow.
