V6 Camaro w/6spd, Dual Mass Flywheel Failure Mode?

Hi Forum,

I have a 2012 V6 with the 6spd manual transmission. It has started to develop a suspicious noise that is slowly getting worse. I am curious if this is a Dual Mass Flywheel starting to go out. If the engine is under load (especially when cold) if you quickly accelerate in 2nd gear then abruptly get off the gas you will hear a low level vibration sound that can sound like anything from a whirling sound behind the radio to its worse case a plastic paint can lid with nuts and bolts rattling inside of it This can also show itself if you quickly accelerate (typically in 2nd gear) or going up a steep hill while loading the engine at a lower RPM....say around 2000-3000.

Has anyone had their Duel Mass Flywheel fail and what were the symptoms?

Thanks
